The “Bruce Womack Fire Educator of the Year” award was established in memory of Lieutenant Bruce Womack who worked tirelessly for the City of Cookeville Fire Department and was a board member with the Tennessee Public Fire and Life Safety Educator’s Association. Through this award, Bruce’s passion for fire safety education will continue as a legacy for the Tennessee Fire Service.
The ideal candidate is a fire department educator who goes above and beyond their duties as a firefighter and helps promote and educate fire safety within their community.
